Our theme this year is ‘Strategies for Continuous Improvement’. We all know that the changing educational landscape is putting new pressures on schools and colleges to achieve and maintain high standards of performance. Against this changing context Alps is able to show you how our analysis and systems can bring about improvement for students of all abilities and backgrounds in a ways that are practical and effective and, of course, student centred. 

Delegates are able to choose 3 workshops from the following:

  • Workshop 1 Introduction to Alps – understanding the Alps indicators
  • Workshop 2 Effective leadership using Alps
  • Workshop 3 Performance improvement – moving blues into blacks
  • Workshop 4 Practical use of Alps in a school sixth form
  • Workshop 5 Using Alps for your self improvement strategy
  • Workshop 6 Using Alps to improve underachieving departments
  • Workshop 7 Practical and effective monitoring using Alps
  • Workshop 8 Subject specific session – how to improve your mathematics department
    If you are new or are not familiar with Alps, it is essential that you choose the Intro to Alps session which will be scheduled as your first session - as other sessions will assume a basic knowledge.

15.30 - onwards Plenary session, refreshments, feedback forms & Alps data bar
