Consortia Reports

Consortium ReportMany schools and colleges now work in partnership with each other to offer a broader range of courses for their students. They allow students enrolled at one school to be taught certain subjects at another school in the consortium.

Alps consortium reports have been developed at the request of schools, colleges and local authorities to provide an analysis of the performance of students who have participated in partnership arrangements for the delivery of A, AS level and BTEC level 3 provision. The reports analyse student achievement at advanced level by comparing it with their performance at GCSE level.

Consortia reports are relevant to schools and colleges that work in groups where students enrolled at one school can be taught at another school in the consortium. The reports provide detailed information for senior managers and consortium co-ordinators to assess the quality and effectiveness of the collaborative working in their area.

There are four Alps consortia reports:

1.    Consortia reports / Roll (Individual school and college reports)

A roll report includes the achievements of the students enrolled at a particular school, including the results of all enrolled students regardless of which school they were taught in for particular subjects. Each of the providers in the consortium receives a roll report. This report is useful to show the performance of the students enrolled at your school or college as well as the quality of the subject teaching and learning that your students are receiving.

2.    Consortia reports / Teaching (Individual school and college reports)

Teaching reports provide an analysis of students that are taught, as opposed to enrolled, at your school or college. They enable judgements to be made on the effectiveness of the teaching and learning by departments in your school or college. The subject pages provide detailed information of vital importance in reviewing subject team and individual teacher performance. The teaching reports include subject information only. The following Alps indicators are included in the teaching report:
• Subject value added score
• RED and BLUE teaching & learning grades
• Individual subject pages
• Student performance report

3.    Consortium report / Overall

The overall consortium report combines all students in the consortium schools and colleges into one overall report. In effect this is a group report and shows the performance of the consortium as if it was one school or college. The report allows senior management and consortium co-ordinators to evaluate the performance of the consortium as a whole as well as to see the performance in individual subjects.

4.    Consortium report / Overall By Subject Performance

The subject performance report compares the performance in all subjects, by separate provider departments, across all the consortium schools and colleges. It provides information on the quality of teaching and learning in each subject in each provider as well as their achievement over three years. The subject performance report can help inform judgements on which centres should deliver particular subjects and whether or not there is further scope for collaborative work among the participating schools and colleges. This report focuses on the indicators relating to subject performance only.
If you are in a consortium arrangement and are interested in Alps consortia reports please contact us. You will need to pre-register with us for consortium reports and the costs of these depend on the number of schools/colleges involved in the consortium.
